Overview
Harbour Heights is a small, established community on the Peace River, north of Punta Gorda, where the river is still freshwater and considerably narrower than the open harbor downstream. It was platted decades ago on a simple grid and has kept a low-key, residential character even as the rest of the county has grown.
Homes here tend to sit on larger lots than in the more built-up parts of Charlotte County, with a mix of older site-built houses, manufactured homes, and newer construction. Harbour Heights Park, a county park with a boat ramp on the river, is the community's anchor and a draw for anglers and paddlers.
